Hollie Jean-
The Hollie Jean Lofts are located at the corner of 28th Ave. and Downing
St.
in Denver and were completed in the fall of 2005. The project was a
complete
renovation of eight units (4-plex, duplex and commercial to mixed use
loft units).
The building had once consisted of a market with residential units,
but had been
left vacant for many years. Due to deterioration, the project was completely
renovated from new sewer and gas lines to a full interior remodel and
significant
face-lift. The corner had submitted to the sadistic ways of the surrounding
areas;
until the Hollie Jean renovation which created a wave of new development
and
remodels in the neighborhood. The area was recently named in “5280
Magazine”
as the “…up and coming neighborhood.”, and the project
itself was awarded the “Good
Neighbor Award” in September of 2005 by Mayor John Hinkenlooper
and Rocky Mountain
News for the most improved residential property in the city of Denver.
